Supervisors are required to report all work-related illnesses and injuries to WorkConnections within 24 hours.

Non-work-related illness or injury
- Services are offered to regular university employees:

- After 10 consecutive days of absence from work
- 10 days is defined as 80 hours, pro-rated for part-time, or a total of 10 days of intermittent absences in a one year period due to a chronic condition.
- Employees may self-refer for services
- Supervisors may request services on behalf of their employees:

- Services may be requested from WorkConnections prior to 10 days in some circumstances.
- Reporting may be earlier if:
- it is known that the absence will be for 10 days or more
- WorkConnections can be of assistance during the first 10 days of absence
- services are requested immediately or special circumstances require immediate assistance
Cost of the program
There is no cost for WorkConnections' services.
